Terms, Conditions & Consent Form
1. Overview of the Thrive@Work Series
1.1. Thrive@Work is a five-session online workplace wellbeing and performance series designed to help teams develop skills in nervous system regulation, mindset, communication, presence, and restorative practices that support sustainable high performance.
1.2. This program is an educational and professional development offering, not a clinical intervention. The series provides tools and strategies based on neuroscience, psychology, and human performance research. It is not suitable for individuals requiring acute mental health support or those experiencing severe psychological distress. Participants with significant or ongoing mental health concerns are encouraged to seek assessment or therapy from a qualified health professional.
1.3. The program is designed to deliver high-quality, evidence-informed training that enhances self-awareness, emotional regulation, workplace wellbeing, and performance.
2. Structure of the Program
2.1. Thrive@Work is delivered live online across five (5) sessions, each approximately 60 minutes.
2.2. Registrants (individuals, teams, or organisations) receive:
- Live access to each session
- Replay access for a time period determined by the registration tier
- Digital resources and practice tools to support skill integration
2.3. Sessions may include guided coherence practices, reflective exercises, and practical workplace applications.
2.4. All materials are delivered through the Becoming Conscious online learning platform and email communication.
3. Relationship with Becoming Conscious and Alicia Visser
3.1. Thrive@Work is delivered by Alicia Visser, Founder of Becoming Conscious, Clinical Psychologist, and HeartMath® Certified Trainer.
3.2. Although Alicia is a registered psychologist, this program is not psychological therapy, nor is it a substitute for clinical assessment, diagnosis, or treatment.
3.3. To maintain clear professional boundaries, participants acknowledge:
- Participation in this series does not establish a therapeutic relationship.
- Individuals who are current or recent (within 6 months) therapy clients of Alicia Visser may not enrol.
- Participants in Thrive@Work may not engage Alicia for psychological therapy for at least 6 months after program completion.
3.4. If Alicia determines that a participant requires support beyond the scope of an educational program, a recommendation may be made to seek appropriate professional services.
3.5. Alicia reserves the right to discontinue a participant’s involvement in the program if it becomes evident that the program is not suitable for their needs. A partial refund may be considered at Becoming Conscious’ discretion (see Section 7).
4. Privacy and Collection of Personal Information
4.1. Becoming Conscious collects participant information solely for the purpose of delivering and improving the program.
4.2. All personal information is handled in accordance with the Becoming Conscious Privacy Policy:

4.3. By enrolling, participants acknowledge they have read and agree to the Privacy Policy.
4.4. Workplace enrolments (team or organisational registrations) may involve a designated organisational contact receiving attendance and engagement information, where appropriate and permissible.
5. Technology Requirements
5.1. Thrive@Work is delivered via Zoom. Participants are responsible for ensuring:
- A stable internet connection;
- A device with working audio and video where appropriate;
- A quiet and appropriate environment for participation.
5.2. Becoming Conscious is not responsible for technical issues experienced by participants.
5.3. Participants acknowledge that no method of online communication is entirely free of privacy risk.
6. Fees and Payment
6.1. Registration options may include:
- Individual session access
- Full series access for individuals
- Team passes
- Organisation-wide access
Current pricing is listed on the program webpage and may vary by tier.
6.2. Payment is processed securely via the Becoming Conscious website, using Stripe or an approved payment platform.
6.3. Access to program materials is granted once payment is confirmed.
7. Cancellation and Refund Policy
7.1. Participants may request a full refund up to 72 hours before the first session begins.
7.2. After the series has commenced, refunds are discretionary and may be granted only in exceptional circumstances, including program cancellation or removal of a participant by Becoming Conscious (see Section 3.5).
7.3. Substitutions (e.g., replacing a registered staff member with another employee) may be permitted for corporate registrations upon written request.
7.4. Replay access, digital downloads, or unused access entitlements are non-refundable once issued.
8. Consent to Participate
By completing enrolment and ticking the consent box at checkout, participants acknowledge and agree to the following:
8.1. Thrive@Work is an educational and professional development program, not a therapeutic or clinical service.
8.2. Participation does not create a therapeutic relationship and cannot substitute for mental health care.
8.3. I have read and understood the Becoming Conscious Privacy Policy.
8.4. I take full responsibility for my participation, engagement with practices, and any changes I make as a result of this program.
8.5. I understand that Becoming Conscious may adjust the schedule, facilitators, or content if required to ensure program quality.
8.6. I acknowledge that results vary based on personal engagement and workplace context, and no specific outcomes are guaranteed.
